 Brief About the Label

According to articles 3, 4 and 9 of SASO's regulation, issued by Royal Decree No. 216, dated 17/06/1431 AH, SASO issued this regulation which aims to rationalize the consumption of electrical energy in order to preserve the national economy and its earnings and to reduce consumption for the average consumer. This could be made through providing practical and scientific methods based on standard specifications, benefitting from distinctive international  practices in this field and employing standardization fields to serve all concerned parties, especially the average consumer who needs a simple, practical and reliable method that is approved by a neutral body. This method should enable him to compare different electrical products in terms of energy efficiency through the label found on each device.  As a result, the consumer will be able to acquire high energy-efficiency devices without incurring extra expenses to verify their conformity through inspections and tests and without the need to enter into technical details of standard specifications, which are handled by SASO.
