Service description

This service allows the applicant to obtain a license of using the Fuel Economy Label for New Light Vehicles listed in the General Regulation for Energy Efficiency. Click (here). The label also serves as a guide for consumers before purchasing the product to increase their awareness of the fuel economy value of the item before purchasing it.

Conditions:

1. The international facility wishing to issue the label and register in the electronic portal must be one of the manufacturers of vehicles and tires.

2. The product must be complied the relevant Gulf and Saudi technical regulations.

3. The facility shall provide SASO with any information requested regarding the product and facilitate obtaining a representative sample of the model when needed to verify its conformity to standards, at its own expense.

4. The facility declares the accuracy of all information it submits to SASO and bears responsibility for it. (Submitting the form to SASO by any available means) whether in written or electronic form, constitutes a declaration of the facility's compliance.

Required documents:

• Attach a valid Conformity Certificate.

• Submit an image of the user's guide that meets the requirements of the relevant Saudi Standard.

• Submit a copy of the industrial registration.

Service steps

3. Choose the product to apply for.

4. Fill the application form and enter the required technical information for the product.

5. Attach the required documents.

6. Submit the request and pay the financial costs of product registration.

7. Study the submitted request and test results. Inform the facility in writing or electronically if it is refused a license to use the label, register on the electronic portal and explain the reasons.

8. Grant the license to use the label and register in the electronic portal upon completion of all required procedures.
