Merchants of Fabrics and Ready-made Garments Meet SASO in Workshop
SASO has organized a workshop entitled "Standard Specifications on Fabrics and Ready-made Garments" at Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Tuesday, Rajab 26th, 1437 AH, corresponding to May 3rd, 2016.
Director General of Textile Products Department at SASO, Mr. Sa'ad Al Hatem, confirmed the importance of textile industry economically and the role of SASO in relation to the general control. He also highlighted the difficulties facing the implementation of SASO standards. Moreover, Textile and Ready-made Garments Committee gave a presentation about the most important problems facing it.
With the presence of representatives of governmental bodies, such as the Ministry of Commerce and Saudi Customs, SASO reviewed, in its discussion with the Textile and Ready-made Garments Committee and during answering the committee's inquiries, the possible solutions to improve the textile and ready-made garments sector.
Director of Business Sector at Jeddah Chamber, Mr. Ibrahim Al Seraj, and the Chairman of Textile and Ready-made Garments Committee, Mr. Muhammed Al Shehri, praised the role played by such workshops in order to highlight problems faced by fabrics and ready-made garments sector at the present time.
