Workshop on Requirements of Safety of Equipment for Explosive Atmospheres
SASO Training Center organizes a workshop entitled "Requirements of Safety of Equipment for Explosive Atmospheres" in collaboration with the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) in the United States. The workshop is from 1-2/5/1437 AH corresponding to 10-11/2/2016, held at SASO's headquarter in Riyadh.
The workshop aims at providing participants with safety requirements, measures required in using or designing facilities having equipment exposed to explosive atmospheres and the essential requirements for related American and international standards. In addition to that, the workshop reviews the international experiences in the fulfillment of the measures required for the installation, operation and maintenance of equipment in such circumstances.
This workshop is a result of SASO's leading role in spreading a culture of safety and professional practices in all sectors in the Kingdom. In addition, the workshop comes as a continuation in the implementation of the ambitious plans adopted by SASO's Training Center for the expansion in providing specialized courses in the fields of standardization, conformity, quality management systems, food safet, occupational safety and health, and environment and energy management.
SASO has called upon specialists and everyone who is interested from national bodies, companies or individuals employed in these sectors to take the initiative to register and participate in the activities of this workshop. That is to be familiarized with the safety procedures to individuals and establishments, and their importance to the reduction of accidents caused by misuse of the equipment operating in explosive atmospheres.
