Ceremony Of The Saudi Quality Council (SQC)
Governor
of SASO Honors Winners of Quality Manager Excellence Award
The
governor of SASO, Dr. Saad bin Othman Al Kasabi, patronized the annual ceremony
of the Saudi Quality Council (SQC) in the presence of the Deputy General Director
of SASO's branch in Makkah Region; Dr. Tariq bin Abdulkareem Al Sanee, employees
of the branch, and the executive members of the Council, on Thursday 19 Sha'aban
1437 H / 26 May 2016, at Park Hyatt Hotel, Jeddah.
The governor of SASO - in a speech on that
occasion – has commended the outstanding efforts made by the Council in the
dissemination of the culture of quality in the Kingdom, in cooperation and
coordination with SASO in accordance with the strategic partnership between the
two sides. He referred to the interest
and keenness of our wise leadership - May Allah protect it – in the sustainable development to build a bright
future for the Kingdom, where such an interest represented the Council of
Ministers' adoption of "the kingdom's vision 2030", and its contents of
articulated decisions establish a new phase. This phase is characterized by
transparency and clarity for the implementation of an ambitious national plan
depends on diversifying income sources up to a national economy that can be more
firmly to global variables. This plan also has to be consolidated to encourage
Saudi potentials for development and
innovation, and stimulate investment in various economic sectors. He stressed
that SASO will work to harmonize all of its work on standards, metrology and
quality in line with the ambitious vision and contribute to promote the Kingdom
to more excellence and perfection.
Dr. Al Kasabi has stressed that quality
has become a national issue and demand,
shared by all, to be achieved to meet the requirements of sustainable
development. Thus, SASO has developed a package of programs and operational
plans to enhance the quality practices and applications. On top of that, there is
the national strategy project for quality through which SASO is keen to involve
all public and private sectors in its development to reach a clear
understanding and effective application of
quality practices in those sectors.
Thereafter, Dr. Al Kasabi has honored the
winners of Quality Manager Excellence Award, who have had remarkable contributions
and achievements in the field of dissemination and application of quality
culture under the standards set by the Saudi Quality Council.
