A delegation from the Ministry of Commerce and Investment visited the Innovation Center at Huawei Company in Beijing. The visit came on the sideline of the Asia trip made by His Royal Highness Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz , the Second Deputy Premier and the Minister of Defense, and the accompanied delegation.

The Saudi delegation visiting the company was headed by His Excellency Dr. Sa'ad Al-Kasabi, SASO Governor. The visit began with an introduction tour at the center to take a look at its different activities and innovation programs.

The work team discussed with Huawei its future investment strategy, confirming the importance of taking into consideration that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the greatest contributor to the Arabic content. The discussion highlighted the importance of creativity and innovation as one of the pillars motivating Saudi economy as illustrated in the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

The meeting reviewed the mechanisms of training Saudi students on the company's modern techniques in order to boost their technical skills and qualify them for the labor market. The training will be provided to students through training laboratories that will be established by the company in Saudi universities.

Also, Saudi delegation reviewed with the company's representatives the importance that the future investment trends of the company come in line with the competitive advantage of the strategic location of the Kingdom as an important base to reach regional and global markets. The delegation hoped that these trends would contribute to localizing the company's products.

It is worth mentioning that nine agreements were signed on the same day. These agreements aim at promoting investment and trade between the two countries, within the framework of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Program 2020.
