The forum was patronized by the Governor of SASO, Dr. Sa'ad bin Othman Al-Kasabi. The program started with a speech delivered by the Chairman of the Saudi Society for Quality Branch, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Mahboob, in which he commended the importance of spreading the culture of quality, noting that it is no longer an option for application but has become a requirement for excellence and creativity. After that, Mr. Tamis bin Ali Al-Hammadi, Director General of the Branch "SASO's Official Spokesman", delivered the opening speech, on behalf of His Excellency the Governor of SASO, mentioning that the celebration of this day comes to stress the importance of quality and its crucial role in the industrial and service sector. On this day, all competent bodies look to disseminate and promote quality culture in all communities, strengthen Saudi economy status, and activate quality mechanisms in the market, to make quality eventually a key component in achieving the ambitious vision of our Kingdom, Vision 2030.

The forum began with a worksheet presented by Dr. Sami Al- Wahaibi, from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, entitled "Governance .. Concept and Purpose," in which he referred to the definition of governance, between the past and present, and its importance to standardize procedures and raise establishment performance.

It is worth mentioning that among the worksheets was a paper presented by Engineer Yousef Al-Naser, SASO's Deputy Director General of Laboratories, in which he referred to the excellent performance of laboratories and introduced quality concept in Islam and its connection with daily operations. Moreover, he pointed out to the importance of laboratory accreditation and its benefits for raising laboratories' efficiency.

Dr. Ala'a Addin Eid, from FAHSS, gave a presentation on customer satisfaction" ISO 10001" on which he focused on the importance of customers (beneficiaries), in addition to working to satisfy them and achieve their requirements.

Among the participants were employees of Saudi Association for Hearing Impairment and Swaed in the Eastern Province. During this event, sign language was used to support this precious group of community.

Their attendance has enriched the forum by what has been put forward and discussed concerning the lack of quality application in public facilities in regards to people with handicaps; in order to provide them with their needs since many bodies do not pay attention to their simplest rights in providing some requirements that can ease their suffering and contribute to motivating them to give more and integrate in the community.
