Two Months after His Election,
ISO President Visits "SASO" and Praises Its Laboratories Equipment
High-level delegation from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) visited SASO, headed by the President-Elect of the organization, Mr. John Walter and a number of senior officials, two months after his election as a president of this international organization.
The delegation was received by the Director General of SASO's laboratories, Mr. Abdulaziz Al Ohaidib, and a number of officials. The visit included an inspection tour, for the international delegation, in the technical laboratories at SASO. The tour included viewing the latest technologies at the laboratories of general materials, construction and building materials, petrochemical products and children's toys.
The delegation's visit included a long tour to the sanitary laboratory, which includes developed and different equipment, and is considered as the first laboratory in the Kingdom and Gulf states. In addition, the tour included a visit to the laboratories of energy efficiency of air conditioners, refrigerators and washing machines, and are considered one of the latest laboratories in this field.
The President of ISO has listened to the mechanisms of work and quality systems applied in all SASO's laboratories. In addition, such laboratories conducted about 200 varied tests on a wide number of products and commodities traded in the Saudi market.
President of ISO, John Walter, has praised the advanced level of SASO's laboratories, stressing on the importance of laboratories as a fundamental pillar of international and national standardization and accreditation processes. He pointed out that SASO's laboratories are marked by modernity and development for the equipment and highly skilled human cadres working there.
