​In the framework of its efforts to develop the technical and scientific skills of the laboratories' staff and raise the level of efficiency of their performance, SASO has organized two training programs at its headquarters in Riyadh. The first was entitled "Estimation of Uncertainty in Chemical Tests", presented by the expert and consultant Prof. Dr. Adel Bassiouni, while the second was entitled "Estimation of Uncertainty in Measurements", presented by the expert and consultant Prof. Dr.  Mamdouh Halawa. They are two of the outstanding Arab competencies known in the field of metrological measurements and reference materials.

      (35) trainees from various laboratories of SASO have benefited  from both programs. The training programs included various theoretical aspects and practical applications from the measurements taken by laboratories' equipment. However, each program lasted for five days.

      SASO works to enhance the human capabilities and technical equipment at its laboratories in a way that achieves the strategic objectives of SASO in this field. The laboratories of SASO have witnessed a noticeable activity over the last period through providing specialized programs for its employees, in order to develop its technical cadres and their skills in line with SASO's plans to upgrade the level of services provided to the beneficiaries in the Kingdom, efficiently and professionally. Therefore, that enhances and supports consumer protection and safety and ensures the reduction of the circulation of goods and products non-conforming with standards.
