SASO Hosts Trainees of Energy Ministry's Summer Program
SASO hosted a number of engineering colleges' students training at the summer program provided by the Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources. The visit aimed at introducing trainees with the mechanisms used to issue and approve standard specifications and technical tests of products and goods, which are performed at SASO laboratories.
A general lecture was delivered to the trainees to introduce them to SASO responsibilities and its technical and legislative specialties. Saudi standard specifications and their importance were also reviewed. In addition, standard specifications on electrical products were highlighted.
Further, students visited the Electrical Products Lab and the Energy Efficiency Lab. During the visit, they listened to a detailed explanation of techniques used for testing and standard specifications used when testing any electrical products in the Saudi market.
