Al-Mesaihel: Completion of all Preparations to Launch the Saudi Product Safety Forum Tomorrow 

      Chairman of the Media Committee of the Saudi Product Safety Forum, Saad bin Abdullah Al-Mesaihel, confirmed that all organizing committees of the Forum have completed all preparations to organize this international event, which brings together experts from more than 16 countries around the world to review various experiences in the field of product safety over a two-days period.

      The Chairman of the Media Committee of the Forum called on media in writing, audio and video to benefit from international experiences related to market surveillance mechanisms and product safety legislations. This comes within the national role of these means in consumer awareness, thus contributing to raising public awareness among segments of society.   

      Al-Mesaihel also praised the role played by these means in supporting development steps of SASO in cooperation with its partners to achieve the objectives of the Saudi Product Safety Program, which is part of the initiatives of the National Transformation Program (NTP) 2020. It aims at raising product conformity rates to standards in markets to reach 80% by 2020.

      ​It is noteworthy that the Saudi Product Safety Forum will be launched tomorrow morning under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Trade and Investment and Chairman of SASO's Board of Directors, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi. The Forum will witness a wide international presence of specialists, interested individuals, and representatives of a number of international organizations.   ​
