Currently, Dr. Saad AlKasabi serves as the Governor and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Standards, Metrology, and Quality Organization (SASO). He is also the Chairman of the Saudi Building Code National Committee (SBC).

In addition, Dr. AlKasabi is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC), and a member of the Board of Directors of the International Standardization Organization (ISO), and the Chairman of the Finance Committee of the ISO Board. Furthermore, he also serves as a member of the Administrative Committee of the Saudi Energy Efficiency Center (SEEC), and a deputy chairman of the Executive Committee of the Saudi Energy Efficiency Program (SEEP). He is a member of the Supervisory Committee of the Executive Office of the Oil Sustainability Program (OSPSC).

Dr. AlKasabi is a member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Food and Drugs Authority (SFDA), a member of the Board of Local Content & Government Procurement Authority (LCGPA) and a member in Executive Committee, a member in the Executive Committee for Traffic Safety and a member in the Executive Committee for Improving and Motivating Business Performance in the Private Sector to Participate in Economic Development (Tayseer).

In addition, Dr. AlKasabi a member in Industrial Council, and a member in Executive Committee, a member in the Committee for the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP). He has a membership in the Higher Advisory Committee for Standardization of the Arab Industrial Development and Mining Organization, and a member of the Higher Committee for Environmental Protection in Riyadh.

Dr. AlKasabi is a member of the Board of Trustees of Dar Al Uloom University (DAU). He served as the Chairman of the Advisory Council of King Khaled Eye Hospital (KKESH) Since January 2017 to April 2020, in addition to chairing the "Protection of the Local Products against Unfair Competition" Steering Committee, and the Coordination Council for Conformity Assessment Bodies. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), and a member in the number of sub-committees of the Board of Directors. He served as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Industrial Clusters Development Program (NICDP) and a member of the National Industry Strategy steering committee (NIS). He is a member of the Board of Directors of Adaptive TechSoft (1429-1433 AH); a Saudi company specialized in Information Technology. Furthermore, he was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Computer Society during the period (1422-1426 AH).

Dr. Saad AlKasabi has participated in providing consultancy services to many governmental and private sectors such as: Ministry of Health, Saudi Red Crescent Authority, Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), and King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (K•A•CARE). He also has many published researches in the fields of high-speed computer networks and information systems.
