​SASO's Branch in the Eastern Province Participates in the Events of World Civil Defense Day

            SASO's branch in the Eastern Province has participated in the celebration events of World Civil Defense Day at Dhahran International Exhibition Center (Dhahran Expo), which is held this year under the slogan "Children's Safety is Our Goal."

            His Royal Highness Prince Saud Bin Nayef, Governor of the Eastern Province, has inaugurated the exhibition, Wednesday morning, 27/6/1440 AH, corresponding to 4/3/2019. The Director General of SASO's branch in the Eastern Province, Eng. Tareq Abu Aisha, gave a detailed explanation to VIP visitors to SASO's pavilion about SASO's role in consumer protection and inspection of commodities to ensure compliance with Saudi standards.

            For his part, Major General Rashid bin Saleh Al Marri, Director General of Civil Defense, has praised SASO's efforts in the recent period. He stressed the importance of the role of SASO in educating the consumer, through awareness messages, about the quality of power strips and good or bad sockets and plugs, as most of which cause fires and accidents.

            Furthermore, SASO participates in the events of World Civil Defense Day, as part of its vital role to raise awareness of the importance of standards as one of the essential foundations and main pillars of raising the security and safety of consumers in all products traded in the Saudi market.
