SASO confirmed that the second stage of the implementation of this resolution will enter into force on 19 Dhul Qadah,1439AH, corresponding to 01 August, 2018 and includes (6) products; mobile phone batteries (such as power banks), water pumps, dishwashers, laptops, TVs, and electronic watches. In addition to mobile phones, mobile chargers and their parts, which were imposed in the first phase of the implementation of this resolution.
SASO explained that suppliers can apply for a certificate of recognition of IECEE through the following website (jeem1.saso.gov.sa), indicating that there are requirements to obtain a certificate which vary from one product to another, these could be viewed through SASO's website.
SASO and the Saudi Customs Authority called on all suppliers to comply with these requirements and to participate in raising the safety and efficiency of products in the Saudi market, in line with the objectives of the National Transition Program 2020 and the Kingdom Vision 2030.
