International Organizations

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by SASO, participates as P- member in a number of international and regional organizations in the fields of standardization. SASO contributes to standardization activities through active participation in the work of the technical committees in international standardization organizations, as well as the adoption of international standards. Below is a list of SASO’s memberships in the international and regional standardization organizations:

Bilateral Cooperation

SASO maintains collaborative relationship with many National Standards Bodies around the world as well as Standards Development Organizations. It has signed Technical Cooperation Programs (TCPs) and Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) with many of these organizations. Below is a list of TCPs and MoUs signed with the international partners:-

Policies and Technical Barriers

Through its activities, SASO seeks to reduce the technical barriers in order to facilitate trade among member states of the World Trade Organization (WTO) in cooperation with relevant government bodies. In addition, enabling the private sector to recognize the import and export requirements of other countries to increase the market access of national products to global markets.
