Service description

This service allows you to apply for inspection and issue payment number from General Department of Traffic or Motor Vehicles Periodic Inspection, in preparation for completing the vehicle inspection and issuing the result.

Service cost

300 SAR for inspecting the vehicle without any modifications and 500 SAR for inspecting the vehicle with modifications.

Estimation time

15 minutes per vehicle.

Service requirments

  • Letter from the Referring body Requesting Modification (General Directorate of Traffic / Periodic Inspection).
  • Vehicle registration card.
  • providing a copy of the payment receipt indicating the amount paid.
* It is necessary to book an appointment before visiting the vehicle inspection unit.

Service steps

  1. Select "Start Service" to access the service.
  2. Log in to the unified electronic services portal.
  3. Filling in the required data (owner's name, vehicle type, model, plate number, chassis number, mobile number, reason for inspection).
  4. Select the type of service ("Vehicle Inspection for Change of Property" or "Vehicle Inspection without Change of Property").
  5. Book an appointment before visiting the vehicle inspection unit.
  6. Visit SASO's inspection unit for vehicle inspection.
* The inspection result is sent to the referring body after the inspection process is completed.
