Governor of SASO Inaugurates Sanitary Ware Laboratory
His excellency Governor of SASO, Dr. Saad bin Othman Al Kasabi, has inaugurated the new phase of the Sanitary Ware Laboratory, with the participation of a number of Governor Deputies and officials from SASO. During which, his excellency, listened to a detailed explanation about the instruments and work mechanisms in this lab.
The Governor confirmed the importance of this laboratory in supporting national policies in the field of water conservation, through active participation in testing samples. He also pointed out that the lab's role is not limited to testing products and ensuring their conformity, but involves preparing and updating different Saudi standards, in addition to conducting researches and studies.
Dr. Al Kasabi noted that SASO was keen on providing this laboratory with diverse developed equipment, which will help in issuing high reliability technical reports and qualifying the laboratory for international accreditation in the next few months, assuring that the lab is comparable, or even superior, to many international specialized labs in the United States, China and other countries.
His excellency stressed on the importance of this laboratory, since it is difficult to differentiate between good and low quality products without performing examinations and tests, as in most cases these products cannot be judged through visual inspection. He added that SASO is keen on activating cooperation programs and exchanging experiences with its counterparts around the world, in order to localize and transfer knowledge to SASO's employees in general and laboratories in particular.
