SASO Participates in Activities of the 15th Trade Fair of the OIC Countries

     SASO participates in the 15th Trade Fair for the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which will take place during the period from 22-26 / 05/2016, under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, at Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center (RICEC). The event is being organized by the Ministry of Commerce and Investment (MCI) in cooperation with the OIC, the Islamic Center for Development of Trade, and the Council of Saudi Chambers.

     SASO reviews, through its participation in the exhibition, its leading role in promoting and supporting national economy through adopting and updating Saudi standard specifications and technical regulations, in addition to assuring their consistency with adopted international standards.

     On Sunday, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdul Aziz, Riyadh Governor, inaugurated the Trade Fair where 39 OIC member states   participate in its activities with a separate pavilion for each member state. The Saudi pavilion is the largest as it includes a large number of Saudi companies and establishments to display a variety of goods and products made in the Kingdom.

     The OIC Trade Fair is an international trade exhibition special for member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. It is organized by the Islamic Centre for Development of Trade every two years with the concerned authority in the host state chosen to organize it.
