SASO completed the training plan for employees of the Sudanese Organization for Standardization and Metrology (SSMO), which was implemented within the technical cooperation program signed between the two parties. SASO implemented the ninth training program in the field of iron and steel tests, which was held at SASO laboratories in Riyadh during the period 15th -19th of Sha'aban, 1437 AH, corresponding to 22nd -26th of May, 2016.
SASO has organized eleven training programs within the training plan for SSMO employees in the fields of laboratories, measurement and calibration. The first training program was launched on Muharram 12th,1437 AH, and it continued for five days. The program discussed the most important tests related to sanitary products. The second program discussed the methods used at SASO when testing ceramic according to the approved standard specification. This program was held during the period from 19th -23rd of Muharram, 1437 AH, corresponding to 1st -5th of November, 2015.
Also, four training programs in the fields of "calibration of analytical balance", "calibration of standard weights", "calibration of the pressure gauges with high and normal accuracy" and "calibration of the static load devices" were held during the period 26th -30th of Muharram, 1437 AH, corresponding to 8th-12th of November, 2015, at the National Measurement and Calibration Center (NMCC). In addition, "Tests on Electrical and Electronic Devices and Products" training program was held during the same period at SASO laboratories in Riyadh.
In the field of vehicle testing methods, a training program was organized, which included practical workshops during the period 3rd -7th of Safar, 1437 AH, and those activities were concluded by the training program on the testing methods of steel and iron products.
The tenth training program in the field of the calibration of platinum thermometers and the eleventh training program in the field of humidity and temperature devices will conclude this training plan during the period 12th -16th of Shawwal, 1437 AH, corresponding to 17th-21st of July, 2016, at NMCC in Riyadh.
Noteworthy, SASO has signed many agreements, memoranda of understanding, and technical cooperation programs with some foreign bodies and authorities to exchange expertise in the field of developing SASO work and to find out the latest developments in the world in the field of standardization, aiming to improve the level of performance and achieve objectives perfectly. These programs are held with a group of sisterly and friendly countries in order to transfer and localize knowledge through dispatching the experts in various fields of standardization from those authorities to SASO or implementing specialized training programs. Moreover, SASO exchanges technical information related to standardization with those bodies and pays visits to the concerned authorities in those countries to find out the latest developments in the fields of standardization, calibration and quality.
