Delegation from Spanish Association (AENOR) Visits SASO
A delegation from the Spanish Association for Standardization and Certification (AENOR) visited SASO, in the framework of discussing ways of cooperation in standards, conformity, and certification in addition to other various fields of standardization.
The delegation was headed by Evelino Mariquena, CEO of AENOR, accompanied by a number of senior officials from the association. The delegation was received by His Excellency the Governor of SASO, Dr. Sa'ad bin Othman Al-Kasabi, and a number of officials.
During the visit, the two sides discussed activating joint cooperation mechanisms between them, in light of their signed bilateral programs.
For his part, Dr. Sa'ad Al-Kasabi stressed the keenness of SASO to exchange experiences with various standardization and conformity bodies around the world in different standardization fields. This comes in an effort to develop trade, confirm the quality of imported and exported goods, eliminate trade technical barriers, and protect consumer.
Mr. Evelino Mariquena, CEO of AENOR, praised SASO's latest technical development, stressing that it will enhance the position of Saudi standardization system in regional and global forums. Such development will also be reflected on the quality of products and services in the Kingdom.
