Through technical teams, SASO aims to find a balance where the technical team plan is prepared by members representing different sectors (i.e., governmental, academic, private sector), and priorities of products or services are discussed. A technical team must align the team plan to the technical regulations issued by SASO through the General Administration of Conformity. Moreover, the technical team must ensure that its plan achieves the interests of the various entities. Furthermore, it has to guarantee that the main goals of the draft standards it will prepare / adopt are protecting the consumer and supporting the national industry.
